Mines def not-Subaru recalled my outback years ago but everytime I went to book in there was a 3 or 4 week wait and i could never commit. Thanks for the reminder

We've been in 4 times now and I think they are now safe. One had a really old dangerous one, so the replaced it with a bad, but not so bad one. We then had to go back and get that one done when a new one was available. The other car went in twice. The driver's bag got recalled and replaced, and then the passenger one was recalled later.

My mother in law kept ignoring the letters when they arrived. Eventually she got one by registered post that basically said "if you ignore this one, nothing that happens is our fault".

is there a comprehensive list of all the makes and models affected?. I'm about to buy a new or 2 year old car for mum and am worried about what models to avoid, or to know to ask the seller about
Loud things: Markbass LittleMark 250, Hartke HA2500 amps, Hartke XL210 cabs
Pretty things: Fender MIA P, MIM P and J, SX J, Takamine ABG

Most of the news reports list the models in broad terms, individual manufacturers will have a more detailed lookup, for e.g. Mazda requires a VIN. You might be best off taking a phone and looking up the licence plate on the website posted (which I imagine fetches registration model details and does a lookup with that)
