Sorry to take so long to get back, I had a few mtrs of bowel cut out and they got 99% of it. But now its chemo time hopefully in a few weeks when I heal more,they will start that. I lost 8kg in hospital,Im now a walking talking bag of bones :shifty:

I’ve put on 10kgs over the last year. I am aiming to lose that again, and then after some more as I want to get fit enough to be confident to travel. Work sends a few people to Cambodia to check out some assistance work we support. I wanted to go this year but just didn’t feel confident that I was up to it if there was a lot of hiking etc. don’t even know if there is, but you know.
My Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis seems to have stepped up a notch over that same time period. My specialist and a surgeon he sent me too have concluded that a total thyroidectomy is a good next step for me.
I booked in this morning for removal on 25 August. At this point I feel a bit relieved to be taking a proactive step.

I have my 12 month follow up scan next week to hopefully confirm that I'm cancer-free

I hopfully start chemo next thurs ,after they work out if its safe as they can make it. 45% chance of it coming back within 5yrs with out chemo.And a 25% chance if i have chemo so hopefully i get it .
