NAD Reeves Custom 225 pics up!!!
This will be en route to me later this week thanks to Mr Bobby dazzler (Dave) when he does his quarterly trip to Adelaide from Melbourne.
Really looking forward to hearing this beast and comparing it to the Super Bassman.
Standby for pics atop my NV115 cabs!

Re: NAD Reeves Custom 225
I’ve landed in Adelaide with the new Revees as well as my Orange AD200. Steve and I are going to have a mammoth all tube shootout tomorrow as these two upstarts take on his Super Bassman....... May the best amp win

Re: NAD Reeves Custom 225
Have a great time but if we don’t get pictures it never happened!
The challenge, however, is to describe the difference without using the word “girth”.

I’m hoping l’orange because I want one. The simplicity appeals to me.

Re: NAD Reeves Custom 225
Really though, if you had an Ampeg SVT you'd have the 4 best tube amps in the world. How do you pick a winner?

Re: NAD Reeves Custom 225
For plug and play the Orange is there straight away, as is the Fender. The Reeves had a heap more variation in the dials and reacted very differently to the fender 610 and dual NV115s. If you are an all knobs at noon kinda guy, the Reeves won't work for you. Once dialed in, the Reeves has a massive tone with deep lows and a crisp top end. I'm pretty stoked to have two awesome flavours. The Reeves seems lots brighter thru the Bergs.
