Amp advice

I'm interested in hearing about the comparison of some new amps.

In particular ...

the new Fender Rumble 200 watt
the Eden EC28 and EC210
and the GK MB112 bass combo.

I'm located in Sydney so I can't try before I buy. I'll have to go on reviews and listening online to various demos, though only a few out there.

Or can anyone shed any light onto how they compare tone/volume wise?

I play 5 strings, mostly with FOH support and the occasional 4 piece jam session just using amps.

Jeeeez I thought it was bad here. I can try the Rumble 200 and the GKMB112 as they're both in stores locally.
Haven't tried the GK but have tried the Fender.
I really like it and have had to see sense a few times. .. (Can't afford it. Got plenty of other amps etc etc) coz it seemed like such a light weight and great sounding combo for Damn near any gig- but for me I was thinking small gigs with my Jazz/Blues 4pce and most rehearsals.
Great Price too.
Sound is fine. The eq works well. The preset buttons seem better than I expected. And even the OD sounds Damn good.
I haven't played it WITH a band obviously and that's where they show there true colors. .. But I had no worries in thinking it wouldn't hold up for those uses.

I'll try n get to the other store n try the GK asap.

(I haven't tried it with a 5 string so far tho. I will do asap also)8-)

I had the opportunity to try the Rumble 200 today. Sounded pretty loud. Surprisingly light weight! Not sure if ild need the overdrive?? A compressor would be more handy.

Is the direct out post or pre EQ?

Dunno. There's a RUMBLE V3 thread on TB that may help us with that.

The Eden have a darker sound over all with a hyped low end. The bass is impressive but it makes the amps a bit of a one trick pony. The GK and the Fender are much more versatile and able to be shaped to different sounds. The GK has the signature punch and snap where as the Fender is a bit smoother. I love the new Rumble amps, I think they sound really good, they're lightweight, easy to use and have plenty of volume. Out of all the combos the Rumble would be my first choice.
