Finding a drummer?

Post by kat888 » 12 Sep 2018, 18:39

Any one have a drummer stuck down the back of their couch? Our previous drummer isn't around anymore. We have adverts up at Bandmix and (the extremely dodgily named) Rockstar Hookups and are turning up nothing.

There's me on Thunderbird, a guitarist/singer and a violinist/guitarist/bouzouki player. We're doing originals.

Drummers must congregate somewhere where we can lure one with a trail of smarties.

Order a pizza to be delivered? If they knock in time they're probably not a drummer.

What if the knocking speeds up, slows down, and he doesn't know when to come in?

Might have to bite the bullet and set up a facebook account. The things we have to do for art, eh?

There's probably two people at the door. Your new drummer and a lead singer.

all the best kat, it could be a long journey. It took us over a year, and a few idiots, before we lucked on a brilliant 65yo drummer who is the best we've ever played with, yet he still takes lessons, at 65. He plays with 4 or 5 other bands too is is awesome. They ARE out there, you just need patience. While we waited for him we recorded to a click track then added hand percussion, cajon, claves, tambourine, rasp etc.Passable.
