Getting prepared for a week with David building. Probably won't get as far as I want but I'll give it a go

Ready to be packed in the car
Image

7 string V2 ... 59 strat neck and mid pickups by Mick Brierley ... and my feet
Image

36" scale fretless of my design .... just the toes this time
Image

30" scale 4 string ..... what!? no appendages

And hopefully fretboard and carving on the 7 string multiscale Jem

Looks like a relaxed week ahead, Pete.

I won't bother coming in Friday, you'll be using all the machinery at once :) .

Drive safely, and looking forward to catch up.

That's the point of bringing so many ... no time outs waiting for things to glue or machinery to be available ... maximum build time with no breaks or until I do which is inevitable.

Look forward to catching and hopefully having a try if this black beauty of yours

How many Davids are you planning to build with all that?

Organised doesn't begin to describe. I can't wait to see them all finished.

After a 7hr drive a bit tired so didn't get as much done as perhaps I hoped

Carving (rough)

Bit of body shaping for the short scale
Image

And change of direction for the v2 it is now a neck through. The reasons will be obvious if it works if it doesn't no one will ever hear about it

Image

Oz red cedar tone block if you believe in that sort of thing

With the pickups roughly in place. Ordered the headless bridge and nut pieces from T4m ( technology for musicians :) ) last night. Wanted black which had a large wait time or they offered me 20% off the gold ... looks like it's gold hardware

That workbench looks inspiring to build guitars on, she's a beauty.
And the guitars look good too!

T4M? Hmmm, not sure I'd want to order "hardware" from there (then again, nothing wrong with that at all).

Looking good, Pete, a little green (must be the new lights in the shop). Looking forward to Friday.

Not sure what shop you've been shopping at but Alberto from technology for musicians has been very helpful with my .. hardware

Today was lots of drawing measuring looking at tech drawing. Kahler trem as it turns out has a fairly high saddle height.

Neck was roughed and routed

Little 2x2 headstock

And the start point to chasing my tail fitting the neck. Was the closest I've gotten out of the gate but still took a bit to make fit.
