Re: Political Coverage By the Media in Our Country - PART TWO

I hadn't heard that Abbott had said this, but I am not surprised. https://scontent-syd2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/22448614_1950715454954970_1317896522928471286_n.jpg?oh=b7067502fdf91b3b8d92d331b68b276f&oe=5A849AAE http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-4964572/Chris-Hemsworth-slams-Tony-Abbott-...

Re: RIP Carvin

That super sucks... sucks... sucks... sucks... I've been a Carvin amp owner since 1998 (I've owned two and still have one)... AND I'm a Carvin guitar owner (bought an AC40 back in 1998, and still have it)... I absolutely LOVE my Carvin Amp... why? Because it's a design that works and makes perfect s...

Re: Political Coverage By the Media in Our Country - PART TWO

In addition, historical facts and figures, while not the measure for "what's right" or "what's wrong", they are invaluable tools to indicate how we are travelling and where we are going, and can't just be swept away in a pair of statements. Not sure if you thought I was sweeping them away, but I wa...

Re: Political Coverage By the Media in Our Country - PART TWO

^I think your conclusion that begins "Separating human infants..." is a rather sudden conclusion without exploring that source of said "pain"... There are PLENTY of happy, healthy adopted children out there... where the "pain" stems from is when a child (even through adulthood) is not presented with...

Re: Political Coverage By the Media in Our Country - PART TWO

It's interesting how historical facts and figures get pulled into the argument as a signal of "what's right". History is a **** mess of bad decisions that we should be learning from, not ideas to subscribe to. I'll take your comment further and put up the argument that the present is rather shambol...

Re: Slap bass live - getting levels/EQ right

Personally, I don't slap much... But yes, you'd be right in that you'd have more trouble hearing slap in the mix... The frequencies of the pops blend more into snaredrum range and the thumps are percussive and blend with the kick... It's not a bad thing, as slap was invented to basically mimic a dru...

^In the last 3 governments Labor has been their own worst enemy...
But I'm not a fan of Brutus and blame him for much of their internal problems.

Don't get me started on the Abbott/Hockey 2013 budget... I still have fantasies of spitting in Joe Hockey's eye.

Re: Political Coverage By the Media in Our Country - PART TWO

^I think the problem is that Labor has been ineffective at holding government for any significant time in the last 20 years... I've been here since 2001 and so far from Labor we've had Rudd Caesar (stabbed by Brutus), Julia The Persecuted (ruthlessly attacked by the opposition and ultimately stabbed...

Re: Political Coverage By the Media in Our Country - PART TWO

Abbott now thinks the Federal Government should use the army to seize control of resources from the States. And this country chose him to be PM. http://www.news.com.au/finance/business/mining/tony-abbott-says-defence-powers-should-be-used-to-force-states-to-approve-mining-projects/news-story/d5fbbd...

^if these guys weren't playing with nukes, the whole exchange would be quite comical ... I find Trump to be a fantastic entertainer ... but he's not in the entertainment business ... ^^(response to slave) ... the reason NK even has nukes has to do with 1- the Russians (1986 deals) and 2 - the intern...

any organised religion Methods of 'recruitment' vary widely with different religions. Christian missions go to give - there is no inducement; the modus operandi is nothing sinister, it is persuasion by example and commitment to service. There are some over-zealous Christian evangelists who push the...

Re: is there even a PJ set that works?

I've had 2 in my life that I liked ... One was an active set that was stock on a Peavey B-Ninety bass ... The other was stock on a Yamaha RBX-170 AFTER I put the two pickups in series ... I never had an opportunity to ever try any after-market PJ pickup combinations But I do recommend at least tryin...
